How to Use ASTEPRO 0.15%

If you have seasonal allergic rhinitis, the dosage for ASTEPRO Nasal Spray 0.15% is 2 sprays per nostril once or twice daily in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older.

If you have perennial allergic rhinitis, the dosage for ASTEPRO Nasal Spray 0.15% is 2 sprays per nostril twice daily in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older.

Three Easy Steps

ASTEPRO 0.15% delivers powerful allergy relief in three easy steps. Here's how to use ASTEPRO 0.15%:

Step 1

Clear your nose

Clear your nostrils by gently blowing your nose.
Step 2

Look at your toes

Tilt your head down to keep the medicine from going down into your throat.
Step 3

Spray and sniff gently

Spray once per nostril. Sniff gently. Spray once per nostril again.* Do not spray into your eyes.
* For patients 12 years and older who are instructed by their doctor to spray a second time in each nostril

When you finish using ASTEPRO 0.15% Nasal Spray, wipe the spray tip with a clean tissue or cloth. Put the safety clip and dust cover back on the bottle.

Indication

ASTEPRO® (azelastine HCl) Nasal Spray 0.15% is indicated for the relief of the symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in patients 12 years of age and older.

Important Risk Information

  • Avoid engaging in hazardous occupations requiring complete mental alertness when taking ASTEPRO Nasal Spray 0.15%
  • Avoid concurrent use of alcohol or other central nervous system depressants with ASTEPRO Nasal Spray 0.15%
  • In clinical studies, the most commonly reported adverse reactions, when dosed at 2 sprays per nostril once or twice daily, respectively, included bitter taste (4%, 6%), nasal discomfort (4%, 3%), epistaxis (2%, 1%), and sneezing (1%, 2%)
  • Pregnancy Category C: Based on animal data, may cause fetal harm
